    1. 4.5/5.0The title of "Siren Tamer" caught me. In the sea of paranormal and fantasy, this was something I hadn't read about. While usually not a big YA reader, I decided to give it a try. As it ends up, the story has a bit of fantasy, a sprinkling of adventure and a heart thumping dollop of young love. I enjoyed it so much, I had trouble putting it down! Considering this is a debut novel, the lack of any noticeable first time blips is amazing. The only downside? I NEED the next one!!

    2. A fantastic new YA paranormal romance, "Siren Tamer" will keep the reader's attention from the first chapter. The society reads like an Aztec style setting with futuristic weaponry and technology. The romance between the two leads is palpable and the mystery behind who is targeting the princess will keep the reader guessing. The plot flows smoothly and readers will only find themselves upset by the fact that the next book isn't out yet.

    3. 4.5 Stars. It takes a lot to yank on my emotions. Siren Tamer definitely did that. I don't read much YA and this one nearly drove me crazy. Ms. St. Angeles knows how to not only coil tension but screw it down until you're going to explode. The world the author creates is very different with a mix of village living but in a unknown time period where advanced technology is available and Inca culture exists. The characters are distinct. Gideon, our hero or Siren Tamer, might say "Ugh" a few too many [...]

    4. It's hard to find good clean books--especially books that both girls AND guys will like. I really like how the author describes the girl, Aliya, and I think any guy would aspire to be like Gideon. I love the way Gideon could crush Aliya's jerk boyfriend, but he has nothing to prove. What a stud! Great book Sofia St Angeles! I can't wait for the next one!

    5. *Book source ~ A review copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.Years ago the Kahlotah helped a group of people from the Nazahpas defect to their lands where they now call themselves Anonlah. They live peacefully in Kahlotah lands even though many of the Kahlotah people resent the sacrifice of their men in battle when they helped the Anaonlah defect. Many years have passed and Gideon and his Band of Brothers have come under the attention of Nemmin, the Kahlotah Chief Captain. He has a [...]

    6. Awww that cliffhanger is just mean! I want the next book like now!!! The whole story started off as a bumpy ride with that complete new environment which is a mix of the middle ages and the future with its technologies and so on. All the new terminology bogged down the reading flow. But once that was out of the way I really started to enjoy the characters and the story overall. The only thing I missed a bit was the missing detail to the everyday life of Gideon. I absolutely wouldn't have minded t [...]

    7. 4.5/5.00Ok, I have to admit that I am not a Young Adult fan. Nor can I believe that this is the debut novel of Ms. St. Angeles. It can't possibly be. Her world building and scenery descriptions are magical! They transport the reader right into the middle of the scene, you can smell the soil and flowers, one can see the palace, feel yourself walking along it's corridors, and it sucks you in so that the reader even misses their favorite tv show. The reader will also be a bit irritated at the femal [...]

    8. This Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest ReviewThis was an incredible read! Sofia St. Angeles is an incredible and creative author. I was immediately enthralled into the world, its characters and what their lives where like. Everything was fascinating to me, I couldn't get enough of each and every culture and each and every difference and similarities between the people and places. I loved the extreme tension between the main characters it made the book for me. I love it [...]

    9. As a general rule, I don't read YA, and frothy romance isn't really my thing, but this title intrigued me by its premise, and so I decided to give it a chance. I have to admit that it sucked me in and everything else was put on hold until I finished it. And, although there's plenty of material to satisfy (or, perhaps frustrate) lovers of palpitating romance novels, "frothy" is not a term I would use for this effort. As a fantasy, Ms. St. Angelas does an excellent job of creating her futuristic wo [...]

    10. Very intriguing read. I was initially wary of reading this book because it was self-published. I have, unfortunately, read more poorly self-published books than good ones. Siren Tamer had a very unique premise, but based on Greek mythology: the existence of sirens. What made the premise different was the fact that the siren call was focused only between two people: Princess Aliyah and her guard Gideon, that neither of them really know what it was, that those closest to them did but didn't really [...]

    11. 4.5/5.0This was a pleasurable read with suspense, humor, and everything in between. Read full review in the 2015 March issue of InD’tale Magazine.

    12. This story carried me away into another world. The authors voice is so clear and action packed. I loved it!
