One thought on “A Soft Breath of Wind”

    1. I loved A Stray Drop of Blood for the same reason I now love A Soft Breath of Wind. The rich history. The hope-filled love story. The sweeping way Roseanna White fills a novel with faith.Truth? I expected to not like A Soft Breath of Wind as much as I loved A Stray Drop of Blood. Sequels usually make me smile, but not as much as the first book. This one defied my expectations and made me love it more. Why? Zipporah. From the first page, she had my loyalty because she isn't beautiful but doesn't [...]

    2. Oh my goodness, y'all I cannot recommend this book enough. It is one of the best books I've read this year. I had the chance to read it before its publishing date and the worst part was not being able to share it with others immediately. Mrs. White is a masterful storyteller and has written a doozy of a novel. She has a knack for introducing impossible situations, then turning things around in a believable but still awe-inspiring fashion. If you are looking for something to entertain, send you o [...]

    3. I have loved all the book I have read by Roseanna White and this one is no exception. Set during the Early Church when Pharisees seek to destroy Christians and the early church. Zipporah is given the Spiritual gift of being able to see the Spiritual world. She can see the angels that protect the church at Rome and she can see the demons that want to destroy it. She can see when people are possessed with them. She knows that serving the Lord comes with a sacrifice and she is willing to serve Him [...]

    4. One thing I really hate about Roseanna White's books, especially the Biblical fictions. Coming to the end, that's what I hate. I want them to go on and on. So get writing, Writing Roseanna! I want the sequel to the sequel! This book is a sequel to A Stray Drop of Blood, where we were introduced to some the heroes of A Soft Breath of Wind--Samuel, Benjamin, Abigail, and Titus. Two other essential characters emerge in Soft Breath--Dara, a selfish, conniving, evil young woman under the spell of an e [...]

    5. I've been an admirer of Roseanna White 's writing for years now. As I read her latest work, A Soft Breath of Wind, I was struck time and again to go back and re-read passages because I so greatly LOVED them. The author sets the scene in Biblical history with such clarity and emotion it pulls you in instantly. Walking through early Christian times through Zipporah's eyes, seeing history made, was mesmerizing. This is a love story in many ways, but more so between a young woman and her Savior. Zip [...]

    6. Those who have loved Roseanna M. White's other Biblical love stories, A Stray Drop of Blood and Jewel of Persia, won't be disappointed by her latest. It has the spiritual depth and rich Biblical history of her previous books, as well as a gutsy heroine and daring plot. Zipporah is one of my favorite of White's heroines. I admired her pureness of heart, and the way that trait mixed with her unique insecurities. The complexity of Zipporah's character and the surprising twist in the romance arc wer [...]

    7. This is a must read!!! I noted that one reviewer mentioned if Frank Peretti and Francine Rivers wrote a book together, this would be it. Perfect assessment!

    8. Absolutely amazing, captivating, engaging, riveting. So many nights I stayed up well past the time I should've been asleep because I simply could not put it down. I 100% recommend it.

    9. Incredible Novel!!!This story is amazing. I love every second of this book. I appreciate so much when a Biblical novel enhances my Bible readings and understanding. This book did this in spades! I have always struggled with spiritual warfare. I believe it is happening, I just couldn't really wrap my mind around what exactly that could look like. Having read this novel, I feel like God has really illustrated what this looks like through Ms. White's imagination. It has really left me with a larger [...]

    10. So Nina told me that this sequel was even better than the first book in the series. And as usual, she was absolutely right! I could not put it down and finished it in just one day. While it is a stand-alone sequel, aspects of it definitely make more sense if you've read the first book, but the main character is no longer Abigail, but rather the next generation. Abigail still plays a major part though. But where the focus of the first book was on finding Jesus, the focus here was definitely more on [...]

    11. Outstanding read. Ms. White has become one of my go to authors. I love the way her story intertweaves naturally with Christianity and always shows how Christ is the one who draws us to him. Can't wait for her next book.

    12. Enjoyed it but not as much as I enjoyed Stray Drop of Blood. It was hard for my mind to wrap around the "visions" and demon possessions. I also felt like everything was quickly tied up fairly neatly in a bow at the end. The transformation of Dara so quickly and completely was a bit much. Still appreciated the awesome writing of this author and will read more of her work.

    13. A Soft Breath of Wind: Sequel to A Stray Drop of Bloodby Roseanna M. White A Soft Breath of Wind picks up the story from A Stray Drop of Blood. A villa located outside of Rome where the Visibullis family, their slaves, servants and a group of believers of Jesus Christ, or the Way, live and work to serve the Lord. Family and servants live and work the vineyards together in peace away from those in Rome who would destroy them. Zipporah has been a slave to the family from an early age and devotes h [...]

    14. Words cannot even begin to express how amazing and spiritually deep this novel was! While reading it I felt like someone was speaking (or teaching) to me about discernment and the spiritual world, but through a fictional novel. In no way is “A Soft Breath of Wind” “just another” inspiring novel /story. Yes there is romance, but is not the ultimate focus of the book. Instead it teaches in a way that I have only occasionally read. It brooks no room for argument that there really is a daily [...]

    15. This novel is absolutely amazing! There are a lot of wonderful characters that are incredibly well developed. The way that they interact with each other whether they are a part of the family of land owners or their slaves is a joy to read. They all work together for the good of them all. When conflict arises it is clearly shown who is on which side and yet they are still able to work together in spite of the conflict.I really love the way the story progresses. I didn’t really notice any filler [...]

    16. I really enjoyed this book today! Once I started it, I couldn't put it down! I just had to keep reading and reading. I really enjoyed the spiritual warfare side of the story, with a "less than perfect" heroine. I have read all of this authors novels and this one is my favorite! This is going on the must read again shelf.

    17. LOVED this book. So vividly written. loved the characters, the story, imagery, everything. You root for everybody, even the villains.

    18. Beautiful book Loved it!!! This book engrossed me from beginning to end. Although in the begging I was confused with all the characters.

    19. Stunningly powerful reminder of the spiritual realm, spiritual warfare, and the gifts of the Spirit. And such heartwarming examples of Christ-like love. Beautifully done!
